Procurement and Logistics Officer - Casual
Grade: HS1
Location: onsite, Thomas Embling Hospital, Fairfield, Melbourne
Up to 9 days per fortnight, initial 3 month period
$32 per hour plus loading
ABOUT FORENSICARE:
Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria. Forensic mental health is a specialist area within the mental health service system.
The services provided by Forensicare address the needs of offenders experiencing mental health issues, the mental health sector, the justice sector and the general community.
PORTFOLIO RESPONSBILITIES:
The Finance and Procurement portfolio is responsible for ensuring sound financial management, procurement and inventory management.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Forensicare is going through an exciting growth journey, with an energetic passion for service excellence and business improvement. The Procurement and Logistics Officer role is responsible for providing timely and efficient internal procurement, stores and logistics service to the organisation.
High level of customer service in responding to ad-hoc requests and professionally, proactive engagement across the organisation monitoring logistics and stores.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
Procurement
- Process Purchase Quotes/Orders.
- Source product and services from suppliers following VGPB guidelines.
- Maintain good supplier relationships.
- Ensure Asset Management Accountability Framework guidelines and Forensicare policies are followed.
Logistics
- Goods receiving of supplier orders presented to stores and account for stock stated as delivered.
- Monitor stock levels of items in stores to ensure consistent supply.
- Delivery of goods throughout the facility.
Fleet Operations
- Cleaning fleet of vehicles.
- Assist in monthly vehicle data reporting.
Mail/Courier Services
- Provision of mail service (sending and receiving).
- Assisting with deliveries to Thomas Embling Hospital and other Foreniscare sites.
Linen Services
- Ordering a suffient supply of linen.
- Decant clean linen into linen room and maintain a tidy area.
Environmental Reporting
- Assist in gathering data for the environmental reporting data base.
Communication and consumer focus
- Liaise with external agencies in order to facilitate the acquisition of necessary goods for the
organisation.
- Engage constructively and share information on work related matters with colleagues and team
members to support delivery of the best and most appropriate service outcomes.
