We're looking for a commercially sharp thinker to drive real business impact at Santos — one of Australia's leading energy companies. This isn't a back-office role. You'll own a significant spend portfolio, shape commercial strategy and influence decisions that directly affect our bottom line.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that unlock value, reduce cost and strengthen our competitive position
- Lead high-value negotiations and structure deals that balance risk, return and long-term business objectives
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and strategic partners to identify opportunities and solve complex business problems
- Analyse markets and supply dynamics to inform smarter sourcing decisions and protect supply security
- Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, contributing to Santos' low-cost operating model
What you'll bring
- Strong commercial acumen — you understand how value is created, protected and grown in a complex business
- Proven ability to lead negotiations, influence stakeholders and deliver measurable outcomes
- Sharp analytical thinking with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience managing significant commercial portfolios or contracts in any sector
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law or a related field
