Join us as a Shift Operator and play a vital part in keeping our operations running safely, and reliably at the Kwinana Energy Hub. A position where your contribution delivers sustainable, competitive energy for WA communities.
In this dynamic position, you’ll be part of the operations team, ensuring the smooth performance of terminal operations in line with bp’s world‑class standards. This is a hands‑on, multi-skilled role where no two days are the same.
You’ll be operating various areas, including the Tank Farm, Wharf operations, Utilities, and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Shift Operator role is on a permanent “sportsman roster” which is a mix of 12 hour day and night shifts plus handover.

What You Will Deliver
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the terminal by identifying hazards, implementing controls, and ensuring full compliance with HSSE standards, site operating rules, and statutory requirements.
Maintain safe, continuous, and compliant terminal operations by operating equipment and ensuring product movements via pipeline or tankship follow operational manuals and internal procedures.
Flexibility to provide operational coverage across various operations roles as per your team’s requirements.
Be part of the emergency response team and participate in readiness activities, including annual firefighting training and emergency response exercises.
Assist with administrative, Operating Discipline and HSSEQ tasks such as updating operating procedures, reviewing systems, and supporting ongoing process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Practical experience in field and control room operations, supported by Control or Work / Permit experience; permits, isolations, gas testing, and safe maintenance activities. Can be oil and gas or other processing plant experience.
Or a Tradesperson with industry experience looking to transition into operations.
Experience working in major hazard facility or similar including working in various Operations and/or Control or Work / Permit to Work roles.
Strong organisational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and help us improve.
Meet Emergency Response role requirements such as annual firefighting skills training and medical assessments.
