Are you an experienced educator ready to take the next step in your leadership journey?
As a permanent part-time Room Leader at our Midway Point Education and Care Service, you will lead by example, supporting educators to deliver high-quality education and care while creating engaging, inclusive and safe learning environments for children. Working closely with the Service Leadership Team, you will play a key role in mentoring educators, promoting reflective practice, strengthening team capability and ensuring quality outcomes for children and families.
- Lead and support educators to deliver consistent, high-quality daily practice and routines.
- Guide educator practice through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
- Support curriculum planning, documentation and reflective practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing through effective supervision and compliance with LGT’s policies and procedures.
- Support Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with the Service Leadership Team to support quality outcomes across the service.
- Undertake Responsible Person responsibilities when required.
You are an experienced early childhood Educator who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example and creating positive outcomes for children.
You Will Bring:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) as a minimum qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Experience supporting, mentoring or leading educators within an early childhood setting.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to child safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- The ability and willingness to fulfil Responsible Person duties.
- Current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (Child-Related Activity).
