Partner with Planning, B2B, and Export teams to balance livestock utilisation, boxed meat purchasing, and export opportunities across the network, establishing robust decision frameworks that empower rapid execution.
Act as the voice of Purchasing and challenger during demand consensus forums, pressure-testing inventory volumes and timing with Replenishment, Commercial, Planning, and Manufacturing.
Design processes and tools to capture real-time market insights, using data to inform short-term purchasing tactics and educate the broader commercial team on market risks and opportunities.
Lead the operational mechanics, storage management, and risk mitigation for the annual Deli Ham program, delivering year-round performance reporting to key business leaders.
Oversee the Operations Services team to ensure flawless execution of inventory, order management and logistics.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while building strong, collaborative relationships across the end-to-end meat business and the wider Woolworths ecosystem.
What You'll Bring
Extensive commercial procurement experience within agricultural commodities, fresh food, or protein markets, backed by a strong track record of crafting and delivering high-impact sourcing strategies.
Deep protein market expertise, including a thorough understanding of meat market cyclicality, livestock supply chains, buy/sell windows, and processing specifications.
Proven experience in large-scale supply chain management with demonstrated success balancing complex networks and inventory optimisation.
Strong strategic acumen with data-driven problem-solving capabilities, enabling you to translate market volatility into actionable purchasing strategies and cost efficiencies.
Accomplished senior leadership experience in coaching, developing teams, and cultivating high-performing cultures centred on operational excellence.
