Casual and Part-Time Educators Required - Lidcombe
Soma Early Learning Centre is a brand-new state-of-the-art education and care facility, located in the heart of Lidcombe, across from the bustling Lidcombe Shopping Centre.
We are seeking experienced Educators to join our team. We have positions available across all of our rooms from 0-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-4 years and 4-5years rooms.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new service, with the full support of a dedicated leadership team.
We carefully select our staff based on knowledge and values, shared vision for children and learning, and strong commitment to our learning community.
Skills required to perform this role:
- Outstanding level of ENGLISH in both spoken and written form as teaching children ENGLISH and CLEAR PRONUNCIATION is a large part of this role.
- 5-day availability between the hours of 7.00am-6.00pm
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) or willingness to obtain
- Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001) or willingness to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
- Sound knowledge of allergy management processes
- ACECQA recognised qualification as an Educator within an ECEC setting
- Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Efficient computer skills

About the role:
- Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Assist the ECT and Room Leader to implement and evaluate programs both indoors and outdoors
- Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children
- Assist with writing observations and analyse children's progression and development
- Provide support and assistance to other staff members when required
- Monitor interactions to ensure they are in line with the EYLF
- Develop strong relationships with children, and effectively communicate with parents and carers
