Achieve Something Great
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive Staff Health Service committed to supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of healthcare workers across one of NSW Health’s largest and most diverse local health districts. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will gain valuable experience across a broad range of Staff Health functions, including occupational health, immunisation, workforce screening, communicable disease risk management and health promotion initiatives. The role offers a diverse and rewarding mix of clinical assessment, stakeholder engagement and quality service delivery, while providing ongoing opportunities for professional development, innovation and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you will make a meaningful contribution to workforce health outcomes by helping to ensure our staff are safe, protected and well-prepared to deliver exceptional care to the communities we serve.
Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate thrives in a diverse and fast-paced environment and is adaptable to changing priorities and service requirements. You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, taking pride in maintaining accurate records, documentation and compliance standards. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you build positive relationships with staff, managers and external stakeholders, and use active listening to provide supportive, customer-focused services throughout occupational health, screening and immunisation processes. You are equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a supportive team, with proven ability to organise and prioritise competing demands. A proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality services is essential, along with a genuine interest in developing specialist knowledge in workforce health. This role will suit someone who is passionate about supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of healthcare workers and is willing to travel across SWSLHD facilities as required, with the flexibility to contribute to district-wide programs and seasonal vaccination initiatives.
