About the opportunity
As an Operations Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting the StarTrack operations team to ensure freight moves efficiently and customers receive the service they expect. Working closely with drivers, operational leaders, customers and internal stakeholders, you'll help coordinate daily activities, resolve enquiries and maintain accurate records that keep our operation running smoothly. Success in this role comes from your ability to stay organised, communicate effectively and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 4:36pm.
Pay rate is $31.70 per hour plus 12% superannuation and other leave benefits.
You'll also
- Support the day-to-day administration and coordination of freight movements across the operation.
- Track freight and investigate delivery information by liaising with drivers and operational teams.
- Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and complete operational tasks efficiently to support service performance and customer outcomes.

You'll also
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with drivers, supervisors, customers and colleagues.
- Be confident using computers and possess intermediate-level experience across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 30kg, with fitness requirements assessed through a pre-employment medical.
