We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy medical practice. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Experience using Best Practice medical software is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a warm and professional manner.
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and recalls.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Process patient registrations and update patient records.
- Use Best Practice software to manage appointments and patient information (training provided if required).
- Process Medicare claims, EFTPOS payments, and billing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and external providers.
- Respond to patient enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and correspondence.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organised reception area.
