The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Principal Workplace Relations Advisors to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Supervise a team of Workplace Relations Advisors, assisting them in the development of professional and expert specialist industrial relations and human resource knowledge
Case-manage complex HR management concerns, facilitating any required research, liaising with key stakeholders
Provide expert advice and recommendations on appropriate management and resolution of complex employment matters
Build and sustain partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders (including unions), to facilitate working relationships which improve HR outcomes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or Employment Law would be well regarded.
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $140 115 - $150 371 per annum
About Us
Forming part of People and Operations, Human Resource Services provides advice, support and resources to the Health Service workforce in relation to a broad range of human resource functions. This human resource management support includes: recruitment, training, learning and development, policy and procedure development, work health and safety, statutory compliance, liaison with external agencies and forums (including the Public Service Commission, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Queensland Police Service, Crime and Corruption Commission, and Office of the Health Ombudsman), workplace relations, and portfolio-based Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs).
Workplace Relations works closely with HRBPs and the Work Health and Safety team (particularly in relation to long-term injured or ill employees), as well as divisional and line leaders and managers to facilitate the resolution of workplace relations issues through the provision of expert advice and guidance.
