The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our Processing Maintenance team at our Duketon Gold Project. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a critical role in coordinating the safe and efficient delivery of fixed plant maintenance activities across our processing operation.
Acting as a central interface between Operations, Planning, Reliability, Stores, HSE and contractors, you will work closely with Mechanical Supervisors to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, resulting in consistent plant availability and reliability.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys coordinating maintenance execution, driving shutdown readiness and improving operational performance in a dynamic gold processing environment.
This is a FIFO role (15:13 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality fixed plant maintenance activities
Acting as the key coordination point between Operations, Planning, Reliability, Stores, HSE and contractors
Working with Mechanical Supervisors to ensure compliance with approved weekly maintenance schedules
Prioritising corrective maintenance work based on risk, equipment criticality and production impact
Driving work pack readiness, ensuring scope, task instructions, drawings, tools, permits and resources are available prior to execution
Coordinating weekly shutdown preparation and ensuring materials, contractors and services are ready for execution
Supporting shutdown execution, monitoring critical path activities and managing schedule changes and hand-back requirements
Leading post-shutdown reviews, including schedule variance analysis, lessons learned and continuous improvement actions
Managing permit-to-work (PTW) and isolation processes while promoting safe work practices
Coordinating contractor activities and ensuring clear communication of scope, safety and performance expectations
Maintaining high-quality work order feedback and supporting backlog management and defect elimination initiatives
Producing daily and weekly maintenance performance reports, including schedule compliance, PM compliance, delays and defect trends
- Supporting root cause analysis (RCA), continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance strategy optimisation
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation disciplines, or an Engineering Diploma / Degree
Demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance within gold processing, hard-rock mining or a similar heavy industrial environment
Demonstrated experience coordinating daily maintenance activities and shutdowns in a remote FIFO operation
Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment including crushing, grinding, leaching, CIP / CIL and tailings systems
Experience using CMMS / EAM systems such as Pronto, SAP or similar platforms
Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems, isolations procedures
Excellent planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills
Strong written communication skills, including work pack preparation and reporting
Proven ability to coordinate contractors and multiple stakeholders under time sensitive operational conditions
A continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities to improve reliability, reduce downtime and increase maintenance efficiency
