What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A completed ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
- A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A current National Police Check/Clearance, issued within the past 6 months
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, including asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Current Child Protection/Mandatory Reporting training
- Current National Child Safety Training
- Food Handling and Food Allergen certification
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting children’s development
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a commitment to inclusive and ethical practices
- Flexibility and confidence to work across all age groups
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Two responsive professional referees
Key Responsibilities
As a Casual Educator, you will:
- Collaborate with a passionate team to deliver high-quality outcomes for children and families
- Support daily routines and contribute to a positive, respectful, and engaging environment
- Build warm, inclusive, and supportive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Support children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and sense of belonging
- Uphold the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics, and the service’s philosophy, policies, and procedures
- Contribute positively to the service’s ongoing commitment to quality improvement
