About the role
The Men's Shed Coordinator leads the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of culturally responsive individual and group programs that engage vulnerable and disadvantaged Aboriginal men. The role is responsible for designing and delivering meaningful activities that promote physical health, social and emotional wellbeing, and community connectedness, while fostering a strong sense of purpose, personal growth, and empowerment. The Men's Shed Coordinator builds collaborative partnerships, supports participant engagement, and ensures the Men's Shed Programs are responsive to community needs and aligned with organisational objectives.
To be considered for this position, you will require:

Is a male of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.

Minimum level diploma qualification with extensive experience in working within a community based environment and a demonstrated capacity to promote soical health issues or similar, using community development techniques and the social model of good health.
- Understanding of Aboriginal Culture and the issues that affect Aboriginal Men in Central Australia particularly in relation to health and wellbeing.

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise with clients, volunteers, stakeholders and other service agencies.

Proven ability to manage time and set priorities to achieve a broad range of outcomes within parameters and with minimum direction.

Demonstrated high level organisational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve results.

Proficiency in IT systems and software (e.g. MS Office or similar) and the ability to learn new systems, processes and technologies.

Current NT Drivers License.
