Wine Country Imports is looking for an experienced and proactive Accountant to join our team and support the financial management and continued growth of our business. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a close-knit team and is looking to take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
- Maintaining accounting records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation.
- Preparing and lodging BAS, payroll tax, and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitoring cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations to improve business performance.
- Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Reconciling bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with taxation obligations and company policies.
- Assisting management with strategic financial decision-making.
Qualifications: Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting or similar role
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles, taxation requirements, and financial reporting.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
