As a Midwifery Unit Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring women and families receive safe, evidence-based and person-centred care. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll lead service delivery, support your workforce and help shape the future of maternity care in the region.

Leading a high-performing midwifery team to deliver exceptional care and positive experiences for women and families
Driving quality improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, clinical outcomes and service excellence
Partnering with staff, consumers and stakeholders to enhance maternity services and care pathways
Supporting workforce development through coaching, mentoring and a culture of continuous learning

You're an experienced midwife and authentic leader who brings confidence, compassion and sound judgement to every situation. You know how to create an environment where both women and staff feel supported, respected and empowered. You'll take pride in influencing meaningful improvements that help families achieve the best possible start to their parenting journey.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Advanced experience in contemporary midwifery practice and maternity service delivery
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, resources and change
A collaborative approach focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have leadership experience in a rural setting and/or postgraduate qualifications in Midwifery, Health Administration or Management.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every interaction.
