About the role:
Provide specialist nursing care to adults experiencing acute mental illness, delivering comprehensive assessments, care planning and evidence-based interventions in a secure inpatient environment.
Work collaboratively with consumers, families and the multidisciplinary team to support recovery, facilitate safe discharge planning and ensure continuity of care between inpatient and community services.
Lead and coordinate clinical operations during your shift, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Guide and mentor nursing staff and students, promoting professional development, reflective practice and a positive, supportive team culture within the unit.
Champion safe, person-centred care by identifying and managing clinical risks, driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining the highest standards of mental health practice.
About you:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with a strong understanding of contemporary clinical practice, patient safety and quality standards.
Knowledge of quality improvement, clinical governance and risk management, with the ability to contribute to accreditation, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and support positive workplace outcomes.
Strong organisational and digital skills, with experience using clinical information systems and the ability to analyse data, prepare reports and support the delivery of quality and safety programs.
What we offer:
An hourly rate between $55.07 - $70.64 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
