About the role
We have an opportunity for a Project Officer to be part of our Financial Services Program Management, Infrastructure and Assets Command. The role manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

NSW Police Force Fleet Services is seeking technically skilled automotive people to join our project team.
We design, build, and manage some of the most specialised vehicles in Australia, including pursuit vehicles, rescue trucks, highway patrol, prisoner transport units, and unmarked operational vehicles. Our day to day work spans high‑performance cars, 4WDs, utilities, large vans, and medium trucks. Much of our development and validation work is completed in‑house at our dedicated facilities. If you're trade‑qualified with solid, hands-on experience and you’d like to do more with your technical knowledge, this is your opportunity.
What you’ll be doing

Capturing and documenting functional requirements for vehicles and related assets

Developing specifications, design concepts, and managing procurement for specialised vehicles

Working with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on design, quality, and delivery

Validating delivered products against specifications and project requirements
What we’re looking for

Strong automotive background with deep technical knowledge

Excellent organisational and administrative capability

Ability to clearly explain technical information to non‑technical audiences

Experience communicating with suppliers or manufacturers at a technical level

Formal project experience is highly regarded but not essentialg technical background?
