JUNIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - TOOWOOMBA/TRAVEL
BDS Mechanical is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Business Development Representative to join our growing team in a full-time, permanent role. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to launch your career in business development while learning from an experienced and supportive team within a well-established organisation.
Working alongside our Business Development team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in client engagement, relationship management, and identifying new business opportunities. You'll accompany our experienced Business Development Representative on client visits, assist in building and maintaining strong commercial relationships, and develop a solid understanding of the automotive, heavy transport, and mining industries. This role offers ongoing training, mentorship, and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression within a successful and expanding business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Business Development team with client meetings, site visits, and presentations
- Travel with Business Development Manager to support regional client engagement activities
- Help identify and follow up on new business opportunities and leads
- Support the preparation of proposals, quotes, and client communications
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Support the coordination and scheduling of meetings and business development activities
- Gain a strong understanding of company services, operations, and industry sectors served
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of and experience with truck, trailer, mining, and automotive products and services preferred but training can be provided
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Must be willing to travel and for extended periods of time
- Experience in a similar role
- Unrestricted drivers license
