Role Description:
As the Risk Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the appropriate risk and opportunity management processes for use within the Portfolio.
Reporting to the Risk & Opportunity Manager, the position provides support on Project Risk & Opportunity Management, Risk & Opportunity Reporting, Coordinating Risk Reviews, Maintaining the Project Risk & Opportunity Register, and advising Project Managers and Delivery teams in the monitoring/ auditing of project risk and opportunity across the Contract Statement of Work.
Core Duties:
- Coordinating risk management activities and ensuring risk management systems are maintained and documented in accordance with contractual & regulatory frameworks including, capturing minutes, creating agenda’s and recording and tracking of actions
- Providing risk management assistance to the Project and Delivery team stakeholders
- Maintaining the Risk & Opportunity Management Plan (ROMP) and other process assets that support the Risk and Opportunity capability
- Contribute by identifying opportunities to improve risk and opportunity management for the project
- Maintaining and coordinating Risk Management Reporting and inputs to the Project Performance Reporting Pack (PPRP), Project Status Report (PSR) and various Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMB)
- Managing and coordinating risk reviews to identify trends, risks and promote communication and awareness of the key risks
- Producing risk based reports including metrics as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of risk & opportunity status
- Ensuring obligations and conditions of contracts are met and ensure the interests of the projects within the portfolio are protected at all times
About You:
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside their immediate team, to implement project/ business requirements
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated partnership abilities to mentor and assist project/ business requirements
- Can motivate individuals and teams across a number of project functional areas, to shape and implement project/ business requirements
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer, project and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences is critical to this role
- Computer literacy, with intermediate knowledge of MS Suite. Previous experience with Predict! is highly desirable
- As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
The High Frequency Sensing team is part of the BAE Systems Defence Delivery Business Unit and delivers advanced Over The Horizon Radar (OTHR) capability across the full lifecycle, spanning acquisition, sustainment and research and development – with all design wholly undertaken within Australia. It brings together expertise in large and medium scale wide area surveillance systems to support sovereign capability and operational readiness for Australian and international export customers. Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) and Arctic Over The Horizon Radar
The Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) is a connected series of three remote over-the-horizon radars (OTHR) located in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The state-of-the-art defence radar system provides wide-area surveillance at ranges of 1,000 to 3,000 kilometres and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief and rescue operations.
