About the Venue
Located in the heart of Southbank, Asado is a premium Argentinian-inspired grill restaurant renowned for its wood-fired cooking, vibrant atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. Our bar program is built around premium wines, cocktails, spirits and genuine guest engagement. We are now seeking 1–2 experienced Bar Salespeople to join our growing team.
About the Role
We are currently seeking 1–2 Casual Bar Salespeople to join the team at Asado.
This role will suit experienced hospitality professionals who enjoy creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional beverage service, product knowledge and genuine hospitality.
Asado's bar program focuses on premium wines, cocktails, spirits and personalised service. While strong bar service skills are essential, this role is equally focused on guest interaction, sales and creating an outstanding dining experience.
Successful candidates can expect to work approximately 15–25 hours per week, primarily across evening and night shifts.

Shift Times
This position primarily involves evening and night shifts.
Most shifts commence in the afternoon or early evening and finish between 10:00pm and midnight. During winter, our latest finishes generally occur on Saturday nights, with staff typically finishing between 12:30am and 1:00am.
Applicants must be comfortable working these hours and able to arrange their own transport home following late-night finishes.
Responsibilities
As a Bar Salesperson at Asado, your duties will include:
- Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
- Delivering warm, engaging and professional guest service
- Making recommendations and driving beverage sales through strong product knowledge
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the bar
- Operating POS systems and processing transactions accurately
- Assisting with stock rotation, stock control and inventory management
- Supporting floor teams during busy service periods where required
- Contributing to the ongoing development of beverage knowledge and service standards
- Assisting with bar setup, pack down and end-of-service procedures

Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working behind a bar within a restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality venue
- Current Victorian RSA certificate
- Availability to work Fridays, Sundays and Mondays
- Ability to work evening and night shifts, including finishes up to approximately 1:00am
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional presentation and genuine passion for hospitality
Highly Regarded
- Cocktail preparation experience
- Experience working within premium restaurants, cocktail bars or upscale hospitality venues
- Experience operating POS systems
- Experience with stock control and inventory management
- Experience working in high-volume service bars
- Experience handling cash and processing transactions
- Strong wine, beer and spirits knowledge
