Derm Collective is a new specialist dermatology practice opening in Frenchs Forest, offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. We're building a practice with a strong clinical reputation, a premium patient experience, and ambitions to grow into a broader group over time.
We're looking for a Practice Manager to join us at the ground floor and help shape the business from day one.
The Role
This is a hybrid Practice Manager / Business Manager role for someone who can run the day-to-day operations of a busy specialist clinic while also owning the numbers. You'll work closely with the practice owners on everything from rostering and compliance to budgeting, reporting, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Operations
- Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, patient flow, and front-of-house/reception teams
- Manage staff rostering, recruitment, onboarding, and performance for clinical and admin staff
- Ensure compliance with AHPRA, NSW Health, and relevant laser/device safety regulations (e.g. AS/NZS IEC 60825.1)
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships (equipment, consumables, servicing contracts)
- Oversee patient scheduling systems, telehealth coordination, and service delivery standards
- Support fit-out, equipment installation, and opening logistics in the lead-up to launch
Financial & Business Management
- Prepare and manage practice budgets, cash flow forecasts, and P&L reporting
- Track revenue by service line (medical, cosmetic, laser/device, telehealth) and monitor KPIs
- Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and liaise with the practice's accountant and bookkeeper
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support partner decision-making
- Assist with business planning as the practice grows, including future service lines and potential expansion
About You
- Proven experience as a Practice Manager or Business Manager in a medical, dermatology, or specialist clinic setting (essential)
- Strong financial management skills — budgeting, forecasting, P&L, payroll, reporting (essential)
- Formal qualification in business, finance, commerce, or healthcare management highly regarded
- Understanding of AHPRA compliance and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Experience with practice management and billing software (e.g. Xestro or similar)
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and helping establish new systems and processes
- Discretion, professionalism, and a genuine interest in building something from the ground up
