About the role
Centurion Water is seeking an experienced Design Drafting Leader to lead our drafting team across Australia and the Philippines. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality engineering drawings for modular water and wastewater treatment systems and municipal treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary drafting team.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, Australian Standards and company drafting standards.
- Coordinate drafting activities across multiple projects to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on complex drafting and design matters.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, procurement teams and workshop personnel to support successful project delivery.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly and installation phases.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control and CAD standards.
Essential Requirements

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, Drafting or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in engineering drafting.
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading or supervising a drafting team.
- Strong experience producing fabrication and workshop drawings.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering documentation.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, piping systems, pumps, valves and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable

Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
- Experience with modular process equipment and skid-mounted systems.
- Familiarity with municipal water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, including AS1100.
