Project Manager | New Business

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator to join our New Business team in Sydney. This role will play a key part in securing future work across a diverse range of sectors by leading projects through the preconstruction phase, from early client engagement and bid strategy through to ECI, design development and successful project award.
Working closely with our operations, estimating, design and commercial teams, you will be responsible for driving winning outcomes while building strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ECI and preconstruction projects from opportunity identification through to contract award.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to create value and secure repeat business.
- Manage design development processes, consultant engagement and project coordination during preconstruction.
- Oversee project programming, risk management, methodology development and tender submissions.
- Facilitate workshops with clients, consultants and subcontractors to drive innovation and project outcomes.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to strategic pursuits across key sectors.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high performing culture.
- Ensure all submissions align with client requirements, project objectives and company governance standards.
About You
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering major construction projects or managing projects through preconstruction, ECI and tender phases.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery models, design management and commercial principles.
- Experience engaging directly with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute with strong problem solving and decision making capabilities.
- Experience within commercial, residential, health, education, government or mixed use projects valued at $100 million+ will be highly regarded.
