Experienced Joinery Estimator Wanted

We are a well-established joinery business based in Condell Park, specialising in the delivery of high-quality commercial and residential joinery projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator to join our team.

About the Role
As a Joinery Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of joinery projects. You will work closely with our team to ensure tenders are comprehensive, commercially sound, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for custom joinery projects.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Quantify materials, labour, and subcontractor requirements.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify project risks, variations, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and consultants as required.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience as an estimator within the joinery industry.
- Proven experience pricing commercial and/or residential joinery projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience reviewing and understanding construction contracts.
- Strong knowledge of scopes of work and the ability to identify inclusions, exclusions, and contractual obligations.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project risk.
- Experience working with tender documentation and contract administration processes.
