Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical/dental practitioners for the above position (s) in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Nepean Hospital within Primary Care & Community Health.
Successful applicants will be to provide clinical and strategic leadership to support holistic, child protection medical and forensic responses within the district.
This role is also responsible for developing systems, policies and practices, in partnership with the broader workforce, to ensure optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for children experiencing sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect and/or domestic violence. This role will provide some direct clinical care to children and young people experiencing sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and/or domestic violence.
The number of sessions will be 1-2 per week and will be provided primarily from the Medical and Forensic Unit at Nepean Hospital with some outreach required to other NBMLHD facilities. Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
