About the Role
We’re looking for a Casual Kennel Attendant to join our Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) team in Tullamarine.
If you enjoy working with animals and want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of greyhounds, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
In this hands-on role, you’ll help provide a safe, clean, and enriching environment for greyhounds as they prepare for life in their new homes. You’ll support their daily care and wellbeing, helping each dog thrive during their transition through the adoption program.
What You’ll Do
Provide daily care for greyhounds, including feeding, refreshing water, monitoring wellbeing, cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
Exercise and enrich greyhounds through play, daily walking, and basic training.
Work collaboratively with the GAP team to support positive outcomes for greyhounds awaiting adoption.
You’ll be rewarded with the opportunity to build strong bonds with these affectionate dogs and contribute directly to their journey towards a loving home.
About You
You enjoy working with animals and are committed to providing high standards of care and welfare.
You are fit, active and comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
You are reliable, attentive, and comfortable following established procedures and routines.
You work well both independently and as part of a team.
Current Victorian driver’s licence.
Fun fact: Greyhounds may look lean, but they can weigh up to 40kg, so you’ll need to be physically fit and confident handling large breeds. Don’t worry, we’ll provide full training in safe and effective handling techniques.
