About the role:
The Staff Specialist will provide safe, high quality anaesthetic clinical services and assist in the provision of direction, service planning and clinical governance to the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic and the High Dependency Unit.
Oversight of unit staff including General Practitioner Anaesthetists will be a part of the role.
Provides critical care input to High Dependency Unit (HDU) patients while on-call for anaesthesia and HDU in consultation with the admitting specialists.
This position will be located in Gladstone but may provide anaesthesia assistance to cover Biloela, Emerald and Rockhampton Hospitals as required.
About you:
MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia is mandatory for this position.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) is mandatory.
If applicant does not hold FANZCA, then their application must be accompanied by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists assessment of their specialist qualification and requirements to attain FANZCA.
Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CPD program of appropriate College is desirable.

Total remuneration value of up to $557,878 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary rate between $216,643 - $251,642 p.a. (L18 - L24)
A salary rate between $259,072 - $274,678 p.a. (L25 - L27)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
