About the role
Permanent opportunity to provide expert clinical knowledge and care to patients with diverse conditions while supporting research processes through evidence-based, patient-focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. Primarily working with research participants in the Critical Care Research Group (CCRG) at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), the role also involves guiding registered nurses and non-registered nursing staff in complex clinical situations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/patient centred care.
Respond appropriately to and provide support and direction to manage sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/patient using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
