About the role
Our Melbourne Living team is growing, and we're looking for an ambitious Senior Architect or Senior Designer to join us on the journey.
Our Senior Architect/Designer will play a key leadership role across a diverse mix of large-scale, multi-residential projects. You'll undertake detailed architectural and technical work, lead or assist in project delivery, all while ensuring positive design, client, team and financial outcomes.
You'll support or lead design development, prepare advanced documentation, coordinate procurement and construction delivery, and ensure compliance with our standards and policies. A core part of the role is building strong relationships with clients and consultants while working collaboratively across internal teams. You'll also play a key role in guiding junior staff and contributing to the culture and success of our studio.
About You
You are an experienced design professional who thrives in both technical detail and broader project delivery. You combine advanced design and documentation skills with the ability to lead aspects of project coordination, client communication, and team collaboration. You are self-sufficient in managing your work, while also contributing to the success of the wider team.
You will have:
Proven experience on equivalent large-scale, complex residential projects
Advanced knowledge of design principles, building materials, construction methods, codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, 3D software.
Advanced design and documentation skills across all project stages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design intent.
Proven ability to manage time, priorities, and delegated tasks with minimal supervision.
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to guide and support junior staff.
A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth, staying current with industry standards and trends.
