We're backed by a working, live product already in market, and we're expanding aggressively into new states and international markets. Melbourne is a priority growth market, and this role is your chance to get in early.
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, personable, part-time Sales Representative based in Melbourne to drive outbound sales for Copper Screen's products, with a focus on Local Champion.
Your first major assignment will be representing Local Champion at the Melbourne Franchising Expo on 1–2 August, where you'll be the face of the company on the ground engaging franchisors and multi-location brand owners, qualifying leads, and booking follow-up meetings for the founder/sales team.
Beyond the expo, this role will grow into an ongoing outbound sales function: prospecting, initial outreach, and pipeline-building with franchisor groups and multi-location brands across Australia and potentially other markets like US, UK and Canada.
What You'll Do
Immediate (Franchising Expo, 1–2 August):
- Build a strong pipeline of prospects - Franchisors attending the Franchising Expo scheduling 1:1 meetings around the event.
- Represent Local Champion at our expo booth across both days
- Confidently explain the product and value proposition to franchisor and multi-location brand representatives visiting the booth.
- Capture lead details accurately and consistently using our lead capture process
- Book qualified follow-up calls/meetings with the founder
- Provide a same-day or next-day debrief summarising conversations, hot leads, and expo observations
Ongoing (from August onward):
- Conduct outbound prospecting into franchisor HQs and multi-location brand groups (calls, email, LinkedIn)
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against our ideal customer profile
- Book discovery meetings for the Founder CEO.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and pipeline activity
- Represent Local Champion at future expos, industry events, and franchise association meetups as needed
What We're Looking For
- Based in Melbourne, available to work the full Franchising Expo (1–2 August)
- Hunter and conversation starter with senior decision-makers (Heads of Marketing, franchisor owners/CEOs)
- Prior experience in sales, business development, event representation, or brand ambassador work — B2B experience is a strong plus
- Genuine interest in or familiarity with franchising, small business, or digital marketing
- Well-presented, articulate, and quick to learn a product pitch
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable reporting back on activity and results
- Self-starter who's comfortable in a small, fast-moving startup environment
You would be required to travel to Melbourne for the Franchising Expo on 1st & 2nd August. The company will cover your travel, food and stay expenses if your base location is out of Melbourne.
