VPS 5 Senior Advisor, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

Developing and leading community and stakeholder engagement programs to seek feedback on VIDA Roads’ projects in the planning phase, to help inform the development of the project(s) and decision-making.
Drafting a diverse range of communication materials to highlight projects in planning and supporting community and stakeholder engagement programs including letters, web content, emails to key stakeholders and advertising materials.
Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, stakeholder groups, local councils and the community.
Preparing and overseeing responses to project related correspondence.
Providing stakeholder management services to project teams, including issues management, stakeholder relations, advertising, events, web content and publications.
This role assists the communications and engagement activities across a portfolio of projects within VIDA Roads by providing support and strategic advice on communication and engagement activities. This role liaises with multiple internal and external stakeholders in an issues-rich and complex environment and works within project teams and other teams/disciplines across the organisation.
About You
A relevant qualification in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline, or extensive relevant experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver and review stakeholder relations and community engagement strategies in a politically sensitive and deadline driven environment. Experience in the context of a major transport infrastructure project is desirable, however, not mandatory.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity.
It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
