About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Waterproofing Applicator or Trade Assistant to join our team in Brisbane. You will work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and remedial projects—including high-profile retail sites across the Greater Brisbane area.
Because much of this work takes place in active commercial and retail environments, a high standard of professionalism, presentability, and clear communication when working around the public and site management is essential. Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Grinding, pressure cleaning, and levelling substrates prior to membrane installation.
- Application: Apply liquid waterproofing membranes, sheet membranes, epoxy coatings, and sealants to wet areas, balconies, rooftops, basements, and retail/commercial spaces.
- Detailing & Sealing: Install bond breakers, fillets, silicone, and joint sealants in accordance with Australian Standards (AS 3740 & AS 4654).
- Retail & Public-Facing Site Operations: Work safely and cleanly in active retail settings, adhering to strict noise, dust control, and public safety protocols.
- Remedial & Concrete Repair: Assist with concrete repairs, crack injection, and leak rectification where required.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a tidy work area, care for company tools, and present a clean, professional image on site at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory: Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Mandatory: Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
- Professional Standards: Excellent communication skills, neat personal appearance, and a courteous, professional approach when working in active public and retail environments.
- Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing (CPC31420) or an equivalent trade background is highly regarded (or willingness to complete training).
- Previous hands-on experience in waterproofing, tiling, epoxy flooring, or commercial construction trade assisting.
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and reliability.
