Position: Procurement Manager (full-time)
Salary: $85,000-$90,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

About the role
As Procurement Manager, you will manage the end-to-end procurement, inventory and logistics functions that support the delivery, installation and ongoing support of our telecommunications solutions to healthcare, emergency services and enterprise clients across Australia. This is a hands-on role combining strategic supplier and contract management with the day-to-day coordination of stock, freight and logistics activities, ensuring our projects and clients are supported efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement, inventory management and logistics strategies to support the delivery of telecommunications projects and services.
- Planning and maintaining appropriate stock levels of telecommunications equipment, network devices, components and related materials to ensure operational requirements are met while minimizing inventory costs.
- Sourcing suppliers and negotiating pricing, supply agreements, delivery schedules and service terms to achieve quality, cost and delivery objectives.
- Coordinating the purchasing, receipt, storage and distribution of telecommunications equipment and related products across Australia.
- Monitoring inventory levels and operating stock control systems to track procurement, storage, movement and distribution of goods, ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
- Liaising with suppliers, freight providers, project managers, technical teams and customers regarding procurement requirements, delivery schedules and transportation arrangements.
- Managing logistics activities associated with the delivery, installation and support of communication systems and equipment for government and commercial clients.
- Reviewing and improving procurement, warehousing and distribution processes to enhance operational efficiency and supply chain performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of purchasing, inventory, storage and distribution transactions and preparing procurement and inventory reports for management.
- Coordinating customs, freight and shipping arrangements where required for imported telecommunications equipment and components.
- Supervising staff involved in procurement, inventory control and logistics functions and monitoring their performance.
- Ensuring procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
- Working closely with technical and project delivery teams to ensure products, equipment and materials are available to meet project timelines and customer requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in supply chain management, business, logistics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in procurement, inventory management, supply chain or logistics roles, ideally within the telecommunications, technology or engineering sector.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing suppliers and negotiating pricing, supply agreements, delivery schedules and service terms.
- Sound knowledge of stock control and inventory management systems and practices.
- Experience coordinating freight, customs and shipping arrangements for imported equipment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, freight providers, project managers, technical teams and customers.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and monitoring performance.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
