CSIRO acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, sea and waters, of the area that we live and work on across Australia. We acknowledge their continuing connection to their culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. View our vision towards reconciliation.
As Australia's national science agency, CSIRO is solving the greatest challenges through innovative science and technology. Many of our iconic innovations were once considered impossible until someone, just like you, joined us and took on the challenge.
The SKA Observatory (SKAO) is a next-generation radio astronomy facility that will transform our understanding of the Universe and fundamental physics. In Australia, SKAO is partnering with CSIRO to construct and operate the SKA-Low telescope on Wajarri Yamaji Country in remote Western Australia, supported by teams in Geraldton and Perth.
As the Engineering Operations Project Officer, you will report to the Head of Engineering Operations and work closely with a high-performing multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and logistics specialists responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance and enhancement of the SKA-Low telescope.
In this role, you will support and lead the coordination of key operational readiness, contract governance and information management activities as the team transitions into a fully operational capability. You will play a central role in ensuring systems, processes and service arrangements are effectively established and integrated to support long-term operations.
You will bring strong project coordination and organisational skills, along with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a complex technical environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will enable you to manage competing priorities while contributing to continuous improvement across Engineering Operations.
