About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team at Namaste Mate Indian Multi Cuisine Restaurantin Brooklyn Park, SA 5032. As our Chef, you will be responsible for crafting delicious and authentic Indian cuisine to delight our customers. This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes to the highest standards
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine the menu
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to maintain quality and consistency
- Manage stock and inventory to minimise wastage
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the restaurant
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment
- Thorough knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for creating high-quality, flavourful dishes
- Food safety and hygiene certification
- Food Handler's Certificate required
