The Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) is responsible for delivering services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and for supporting other Mental Health and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area.
About you:
In your new role you will....
Work Collaboratively with Indigenous Mental Health Workers to support first nations consumers.
Deliver high level speech pathology clinical services (which may include assessment, diagnosis, and case management) in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high level clinical and speech pathology services; including assessment, treatment and crisis management to children and young people with mental health concerns in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Apply professional judgement to complex cases, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes related to Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS), actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical and speech pathology services.
