Description:
About the Role:
Are you a Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of experience architecture and AI-driven innovation? At ELMO, we are shifting the focus of product design from pixel-level execution to experience architecture and AI-output direction.
As a Product Designer, you will own the end-to-end user experience, including interaction design and the artifacts that translate customer problems into usable, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces. You won't just be using AI; you will be directing it to generate multiple interaction patterns, stress-test edge cases, and audit for accessibility. Your goal is to push output quality higher through better direction, ensuring every shipped interface meets our high standards for usability and accessibility
Key responsibilities:
- AI Design Direction: Direct and refine AI tools to generate high-quality Figma layouts. Evaluate AI-generated interaction patterns against UX heuristics, using your domain judgment to drive design decisions rather than simply fixing gaps.
- Usability Validation: Own the usability validation planning and execution for your initiatives—conducting research, synthesizing findings, and feeding actionable insights back to Product Managers.
- Experience Design: Translate solution proposals from Discovery into concrete UX solutions. Own the production of design artifacts, including wireframes, interaction patterns, and journey maps, ensuring they are structured to be AI-translatable.
- Design System Governance: Work exclusively within the ELMO design system, ensuring all designs are compliant before build. You will identify gaps, contribute to the system, and collaborate with the Senior Product Designer to evolve our patterns.
- UX Fidelity Validation: Act as a key stakeholder in the release gate, validating that implementation matches approved designs, including responsiveness and accessibility compliance.
Skills and Experiences:
Skills and experience
- Experience Architecture: Proven ability to design end-to-end experiences across complex workflows, encompassing the full journey, edge states, and exception paths.
- AI Mastery: Demonstrated experience using AI design tools to improve speed, quality, and decision-making. You don’t just use AI; you know how to prompt for better, more diverse, and more accurate design outcomes.
- Usability Research: Ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize usability tests that validate design solutions.
- Interaction Design: Proficiency in specifying complex behaviors, flows, transitions, and error handling.
- Accessibility: Working knowledge of WCAG AA standards, ensuring designs are accessible by intent, not just by audit.
- Figma Proficiency: Expert-level capability in Figma, including design system management and creating annotations that bridge the gap between design and developmen
If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape a modern product, use AI as a true advantage in the way you work, and turn complex challenges into meaningful customer impact, we’d love to hear from you.
