Position Purpose:
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the core finance operations of the Australian business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, robust financial controls, effective treasury and payment management, and strong governance across the organisation.
The role leads the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Accounting functions and is accountable for the delivery of monthly financial reporting, external audits, corporate controls compliance under Italian Law 262, treasury operations, company secretarial responsibilities and working capital management.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Finance Manager partners closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to drive process improvements, maintain a strong control environment and support the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reporting
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and financial integrity across all entities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting standards and Group policies
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting quality
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a finance team comprising direct and indirect reports, including offshore team members
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance management to build a high-performing team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Accounts Payable, Receivable & Credit Control
- Oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions
- Monitor debtor performance and lead initiatives to improve collections and reduce aged debt
- Ensure robust payment processes and appropriate segregation of duties
- Optimise working capital through effective management of receivables and payables
Treasury & Payments
- Key contact for banking and factoring relationships
- Manage treasury activities including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
- Oversee banking relationships and treasury controls
- Ensure all payment processes comply with internal control requirements and delegated authorities
- Monitor cash management and financing requirement
Governance, Control & Compliance
- Lead monthly corporate control reporting under Italian Law 262 requirements
- Maintain and strengthen the internal control framework
- Coordinate and support internal audit activities where required
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements
External Audit & Statutory Compliance
- Manage the annual external audit process for two legal entities
- Act as the primary liaison between auditors and the business
- Coordinate preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting documentation
- Ensure timely completion of audit deliverables and remediation activities
Company Secretarial
- Coordinate company secretarial activities and statutory lodgments
- Ensure compliance with corporate regulatory obligations including ASIC
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Support ERP enhancements and system optimisation projects
- Participate in business integration, acquisition and change management activities
- Undertake ad hoc projects and analysis as required

- Driving continuous improvement while ensuring operational excellence
- Experience with a Tier One ERP (Oracle preferred)
- Delivering accurate reporting within tight deadlines
