About the Role
The Assistant Educator supports the delivery of a safe, inclusive and high-quality education and care program for children under the guidance of the Lead Educator, Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor.
This position operates Monday to Friday and involves the planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of our structured education curriculum and co-curricular lessons. Adam & Noah Early Learning College delivers a unique and research-based curriculum with clear procedures and guidance to support educators in confidently delivering high-quality educational experiences.
Assistant Educators work collaboratively within a team and are responsible for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, supervision and development in accordance with:
- The National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Approved Learning Frameworks
- Service policies and procedures
- Legislative and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
Educational Practice
- Support the implementation of the structured curriculum and daily learning experiences
- Assist in preparing and setting up engaging learning environments
- Contribute to the observation and documentation of children’s learning
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with children
- Support inclusive practices that meet the needs of all learners
Children’s Health and Safety
The Assistant Educator supports children’s health, safety and wellbeing by:
- Actively supervising children at all times
- Maintaining educator-to-child ratios
- Implementing hygiene, health and safety practices
- Supporting safe food handling and nutrition practices
- Following procedures for medication administration and first aid
- Recording and reporting incidents, injuries, trauma or illness in accordance with policy
- Complying with child protection and mandatory reporting requirements
- Ensuring children are protected from harm, hazards, abuse and inappropriate discipline
About You

- Is currently studying toward a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or is willing to commence study
