Job Description
Ramsay Surgical Centre Charlestown is seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Nurse to join our dynamic perioperative team.
The successful candidate will be a confident and capable nurse who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will be adaptable, proactive and committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the recovery phase.
About the role
The Recovery Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing day surgery and surgical procedures. The role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated experience in a recovery, anaesthetic, perioperative or day surgery environment.
Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.
The ability to work confidently and independently while contributing positively to a team.
Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
A flexible and adaptable approach to changing clinical and operational needs.
A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional practice.
Additional experience in anaesthetic nursing or day surgery is highly desirable.
