This role will support the planning, coordination and delivery of community relations, stakeholder engagement and communications activities throughout the project lifecycle. To be considered for this position you will possess the following:
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, communications, customer service or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage enquiries, complaints and stakeholder issues professionally and effectively
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Knowledge of community consultation and stakeholder engagement principles
- Experience working on infrastructure, transport, construction or government projects is desirable
- Understanding of the IAP2 engagement framework is desirable
- Experience using CRM systems, stakeholder databases or engagement tracking tools is desirable
- Experience preparing communications materials, reports or digital content is desirable
Responsible for but not limited to:
- Support the implementation of the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan and associated project activities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, businesses, landowners, community groups, local governments, road users and other stakeholders
- Assist with stakeholder meetings, consultations, site visits, community information sessions, public displays and workshops
- Undertake door knocking and direct resident engagement where required to support project objectives
- Work closely with construction and project delivery teams to understand upcoming works, changes and potential community impacts
- Receive, register and assist with responding to community and stakeholder enquiries, complaints and feedback
- Assist with the investigation and resolution of stakeholder issues in consultation with the wider project team
- Maintain accurate stakeholder records, commitments, enquiries and engagement activities in accordance with project requirements
- Assist with the development and distribution of roadworks updates, construction notifications, newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs and community notices
- Obtain information from project teams to ensure stakeholder communications accurately reflect current and planned project activities
- Assist with project websites, client communication channels, digital platforms and other engagement materials
- Coordinate photography, videography and content required for project communications and reporting
- Assist with project events, site tours, stakeholder briefings, community initiatives and good news stories
- Assist with the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and end-of-project engagement reports and maintain project dashboards
