Quality Officer
Join Our Team and Help Drive Food Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement
We have an opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Officer to join our QA team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry-leading quality standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support ongoing development and maintenance of our Quality Management System while working closely with production, customers and suppliers to drive food safety and compliance with our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, conduct and review product and environmental microbiological and chemical testing
- Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformances, and out-of-specification results
- Conduct internal audits, verification activities, and assist with external audits.
- Review and update quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation to meet SQF, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the Approved Supplier Program, ensuring supplier certifications, specifications, and documentation remain current.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for incoming materials and release products from QA hold in a timely manner.
- Support and coordinate quality and food safety training programs, including the development of training materials.
- Raise and manage corrective action requests (CARs), conduct root cause investigations, and implement preventative actions.
- Provide support to production teams through quality checks, verification activities, and coaching.
- Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across quality, food safety, and operational processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, food safety, and quality management systems.
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective action processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities .
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
