What we are looking for:
We are seeking four Casual Customer Service Officers to join our Customer Service team. In this customer-focused role, you will provide accurate information and assistance across face-to-face, telephone and digital channels, ensuring every customer interaction is professional, positive and efficient.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping people, and be confident managing a variety of enquiries while delivering a high standard of customer service.
What your day will look like:
- Deliver exceptional customer service across face-to-face, telephone and digital channels
- Respond to customer enquiries and requests, providing accurate information and solutions
- Process customer transactions and requests efficiently and accurately
- Maintain customer records and data within corporate systems
- Apply Council policies, procedures and service standards when assisting customers
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement

What you’ll need for success:
- Valid Queensland Class C or CA Driver Licence (Learner, Provisional or Open)
- Demonstrated customer service experience in face-to-face, telephone and electronic service delivery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage enquiries professionally and confidentially
- Ability to interpret and apply procedures and policies using sound judgement
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and use organisational systems and technology
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
What’s nice to have:
- Previous experience in a local government environment
- Certificate III (AQF 3 or higher) in Customer Engagement or a related field
