About the role
As our new Investment Systems Implementation Specialist, you'll provide dedicated Investment Operations-led Finance subject matter expertise to support the implementation of a new investment system and data platform.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Investment Operations, you'll help ensure the solution reflects CareSuper's operational requirements, Finance and Tax data dependencies, controls, reconciliations, reporting needs and future BAU use cases.
Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will:
- Map current-state Investment Operations, Finance and Tax processes, including data sources, transformations, approvals, reconciliations, spreadsheets, reports and workarounds.
- Define and validate integration requirements across Finance and Tax touchpoints, controls, reconciliations, reporting and BAU investment data processes.
- Work closely with project teams, custodians, vendors, data providers, investment managers and internal data owners to progress implementation activities and resolve issues.
- Support data mapping, feed onboarding, workflow design, configuration input, validation rules and reconciliation to source records.
- Develop and execute business test scenarios, expected results, reconciliation templates, defect logs and sign-off evidence.
- Help shape BAU readiness, including dashboards, tolerance checks, exception management, audit evidence, ownership, procedures, handover and opportunities for automation.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with strong investment operations, fund accounting or investment data experience who can bring practical system implementation knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset. You'll be comfortable working across complex data, controls, reconciliations and stakeholder groups, and will thrive in a role where accuracy, collaboration and delivery discipline matter.
- Strong investment operations, fund accounting, back-office or investment data experience, ideally within superannuation, an asset owner, custodian or investment manager environment.
- Practical understanding of investment accounting data, including positions, transactions, cash, income, pricing, market values, static data, reconciliations and data feeds.
- Experience supporting investment system, accounting platform or data platform implementations, including requirements gathering, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, UAT and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to understand Finance and Tax data dependencies, including reporting, audit evidence, tax-sensitive data points and year-end requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking, documentation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify control gaps and translate operational needs into clear project deliverables.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and investment product knowledge across listed assets, unlisted assets, derivatives, managed funds and multi-asset portfolios.
