Vorc Quality Services is adding a QA Software Test Engineer to our central engineering team in Melbourne. In this position, you will own the quality assurance lifecycle for our core software applications, ensuring every build meets our internal performance and reliability metrics before it goes live. You will design, implement, and maintain both manual and automated testing processes across our platform ecosystems.
Daily Technical Operations:
- Developing, updating, and executing comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on functional specifications.
- Writing clean automation scripts for regression testing using frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Running API testing and validation protocols using tools such as Postman to check data integrity and endpoints.
- Logging, tracking, and managing software bugs through to resolution within Jira, collaborating directly with developers to reproduce errors.
- Performing end-to-end integration, performance, and smoke testing on pre-release software builds.
Core Profile Requirements:
- Testing Background: 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance across both manual and automated testing paradigms.
- Automation Automation: Practical experience writing automated test scripts using Python, JavaScript, or Java within a modern CI/CD pipeline.
- API Validation: Solid familiarity with REST API structures and JSON data verification processes.
- Methodical Mindset: A sharp eye for detail and edge-case behavior that allows you to identify subtle software flaws before production deployment.
- Visa Status: Full, unrestricted legal working rights inside Australia are a mandatory requirement for this permanent position.
