About the role
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering one of QBCC's most important capability initiatives: the QBCC Academy Onboarding Program. You'll help new employees build the confidence, capability and understanding they need to contribute effectively from day one. Through high-quality onboarding experiences, you'll help employees connect to QBCC's purpose, understand our customers and stakeholders and develop the mindset and behaviours required to operate as a modern regulator.
In this role you will:
Facilitate QBCC Academy Welcome Days and onboarding workshops, creating engaging, memorable experiences for new starters
Deliver high-impact learning experiences through face-to-face workshops and virtual learning sessions
Create learning environments that encourage participation, discussion, reflection and practical application
Represent and model the QBCC Way, helping employees understand our values, behaviours and decision-making principles
Design, develop and continuously improve learning resources, tools and content aligned with organisational priorities
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure onboarding reflects operational and regulatory requirements
Embed structured learning activities, assessment and workplace transfer strategies to reinforce capability development
Monitor program effectiveness and use participant feedback and insights to continuously improve the onboarding experience
Support consistency across teams and regions while ensuring learning remains relevant and practical

This position is based in Brisbane; the successful candidate will enter a Flexible Work Arrangement reflecting Brisbane as their primary location. While the role allows for flexibility working from home, regular in-person attendance at the Brisbane office is required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
Demonstrated experience delivering onboarding programs, workshops or capability initiatives
Strong instructional design skills and experience developing learning content across a range of formats
The ability to create positive learning experiences that support behaviour change and workplace performance
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools
A passion for helping people succeed and creating exceptional employee experiences
Experience facilitating leadership development or leadership onboarding programs will be highly regarded.
