As we continue to grow our services across the Wollongong region, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Business Development & Customer Care Manager to support organisational growth, strengthen referral relationships, guide participant onboarding, and identify new opportunities across Disability Support, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Access, Aged Care, and emerging service areas.

About the Role:
The Business Development & Customer Care Manager will be responsible for managing the full client journey, from initial enquiry and referral through to successful onboarding and handover into service delivery.
You will actively engage with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, hospitals, health professionals, government agencies, community organisations, families, and other key stakeholders to grow Oak & Aura Care’s presence and reputation throughout the Wollongong region.
You will also identify opportunities for service expansion, support SIL growth initiatives, develop referral pathways, and work closely with operational teams to ensure sustainable, person-centred and high-quality outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth & Business Development:
Build and maintain strong referral networks across Wollongong and surrounding areas.
Develop relationships with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Hospitals, Allied Health Providers, Community Organisations, Local Area Coordinators, Government agencies and other sector stakeholders.
Identify and secure new participant opportunities across NDIS, SIL, Aged Care, Community Access and related service streams.
Develop and support regional growth plans aligned with Oak & Aura Care’s organisational goals.
Attend networking events, expos, community forums and industry meetings.
Monitor market opportunities, local community needs and competitor activity.
Customer Care & Intake
Manage enquiries from referral through to service commencement.
Coordinate intake, assessments, service agreements and participant onboarding processes.
Ensure participants, families and representatives receive an exceptional customer experience throughout the intake journey.
Maintain accurate records within organisational systems.
Facilitate smooth handover to operational and service delivery teams.
SIL & Program Development
Support growth of Supported Independent Living opportunities across the Wollongong region.
Assist in identifying and developing innovative service offerings and support programs.
Work collaboratively with operational leaders to ensure participant needs can be safely and effectively supported.
Contribute to business cases, service expansion opportunities and local growth initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent Oak & Aura Care professionally across the disability, health, aged care and community services sectors.
Build strategic partnerships that enhance participant outcomes and support sustainable organisational growth.
Promote Oak & Aura Care’s values, services and positive impact within the community.
About You
You are a confident relationship builder who understands that growth comes from trust, consistency, credibility and delivering on promises.
Experience within the NDIS, Disability, Community Services, Health or Aged Care sectors.
Strong business development and stakeholder engagement experience.
Demonstrated experience managing client intake and customer journeys.
Understanding of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and disability service delivery.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with operational teams.
Strong organisational, documentation and CRM/database management skills.
Current Driver’s Licence.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
