BOH Soul Origin City Cross Adelaide is currently seeking KITCHEN HANDS to join the team!
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Kitchen Hands to join our busy team. This is a casual/part-time position offering a minimum of 24 to 38 hours per week, with the potential for the right person to move into a full-time position in the future.
Do you love working with fresh ingredients and making delicious, well-presented food? Do you enjoy starting and finishing work early? Can you confidently work alone, or as part of a small team? Then the Back of House role is for you! You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing all menu items in a safe and efficient manner.
- Following Soul Origin recipes, make-guides and food preparation standards.
- Ordering, receiving and correctly storing stock when required.
- Ensuring all utensils, equipment and preparation areas are clean and sanitised before use.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Cleaning, restocking and closing the kitchen at the end of the day.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods and supporting the wider team when required.
To be successful you’ll have:
- Experience using commercial-grade knives.
- Proven ability to follow detailed make-guides and recipes.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
- A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Preferred: A minimum of 6 months’ food handling or commercial kitchen experience.
- Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, with availability for up to 38 hours.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction.
This position is initially offered on a casual/part-time basis, with the opportunity for additional hours and potential progression to a full-time position for the right candidate.
