About us:
The Rehabilitation Unit provides subacute services and is based on the Rockhampton Hospital campus. It is a specialised area of care committed to restoring and maintaining the optimum level of function of the individual and significant others, enabling them to achieve their lifestyle goals.
The Rehabilitation Service relocated to a new purpose-built facility in September 2009. This facility has 16 inpatient beds and 15 Day Hospital places (bed equivalents). Rehabilitation Services provides a 24/7 inpatient service and weekday business hours ambulatory services. The Rehabilitation service also provides outreach services to 4 step-down rehabilitation beds at the Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service, as well as Mt Morgan Hospital.
About the role:
The Registered Nurse works within scope of practice to assume responsibility for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care.
The position works collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and reliable cares are provided within the dynamic health environment of the Rehabilitation Unit.

About you:
Appointment to this position requires current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
While not mandatory, post graduate qualifications in the clinical area of expertise would be well regarded.
Nursing knowledge and skills to competently assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Demonstrated ability or the ability to rapidly acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff members and education to students.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $127,861 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
