A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced
Merchandise Planner to join a well established retail business in a key category planning role.
We are seeking a commercially minded Planner with strong experience managing seasonal product cycles. Exposure to
knitwear will be highly regarded.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys trading product in season, and can confidently influence decisions through strong analysis and planning expertise.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop seasonal merchandise plans aligned to sales and margin targets
- Manage forecasting, budgeting and in season reforecasting
- Drive stock flow, intake and exit strategies across seasonal categories
- Analyse weekly trade performance and recommend actions
- Manage OTB and inventory productivity
- Work closely with Buying, Allocations and Leadership teams
- Identify opportunities to maximise sales and minimise risk
- Support strategic planning for future ranges and category growth
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Merchandise Planner or Senior Planner in retail
- Strong experience in seasonal categories
- Knitwear experience highly desirable
- Strong analytical and commercial decision making skills
- Advanced Excel and planning systems capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work in a fast moving retail environment
